In September of 2009, Frank Cid vowed to change the face of the substance abuse treatment industry. In an area of healthcare where quality care was not the standard, he began opening expertly staffed, state of the art facilities where those seeking recovery could heal and transform their lives with dignity. In 2010, he began expanding his endeavor to change the experience of treatment and recovery merging all of his facilities together thus creating Royal Life Centers which you can find in Florida, Arizona, Washington, and Indiana. It is here that guests can receive a comprehensive treatment program at every level of care…detox, residential treatment, inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, aftercare, extended care, and sober living. Each of the Royal Life Centers facilities are based upon honesty, respect, and treating people with humanity. The guests and their care are always the top priority. Royal Life Centers takes no shortcuts when it comes to providing activities, resources, amenities, or any other type of support for our guests. They come first. They will always come first. Shannon Cid has her Bachelor’s in Zoology, and was a Pre-Med student at North Carolina State University. Shannon has her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Education. She has over 13 years of substance abuse and mental health treatment experience. Her accreditations include being a Florida State Department of Health Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Florida Certification Board Certified Recovery Support Specialist, a Florida Certification Board Certified Certified Recovery Support Specialist, a Board Certified Professional Counselor, an International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and a member of the American Counseling Association. She is a highly decorated leader, and is passionate about helping others. Shannon has hands on experience in nearly every department of the Royal Life corporate structure, including Individual & Group Therapy, Human Resources, Utilization Management and Clinical Direction.

Lisa Tomsak has served as the exclusive Medical Director for the Royal Life Centers family since 2016 – a trait that is rare in the industry, as many medical directors take seats at multiple facilities. Dr. Tomsak works only with the Royal Families brand of companies. Board certified in both internal and addiction medicine, Dr. Tomsak earned her D.O. from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences after graduating Summa Cum Laude from Wilkes Barre University. She has an unwavering passion for the field of substance abuse and her commitment is unwavering.

Joseph Ferrance grew up in Washington state, served six years in the armed forces, and attended the University of Washington School of Medicine for training. He has been a Physician Assistant for 17 years and has found his true passion in serving those suffering from substance use disorder. His promise to guests is to meet them where they are in life, walk with them, and make mutual decisions for their best course. At Royal Life Centers at the Haven, Joseph protects and advocates for guests through the duration of their stay, making them feel as comfortable as possible.

She has four children and two dogs that are her world. Jessican loves to work out, dance, be with her kids, and be outdoors as often as possible and has a passion for helping individuals on a daily basis.

Eric Andrews joined the Royal Life Centers executive team in 2016. Eric has specialized in corporate and regulatory compliance since 2012. As part of the leadership team, he monitors, implements, and improves the policies and procedures of RLC. He maintains licensure, certification, and registration of all facilities, companies, and programs and acts as an authorized official of the organization to the NPDB, IQRS, I&A CMS/NPESS, DEA, SAMHSA, and IRAS. Eric also monitors compliance in network participation contracts with insurance/managed care contracts.

While in treatment, guests may become overwhelmed by the idea of life going on outside of detox. It is Andria’s job to relieve these stresses so that guests can focus on their recovery. After overcoming her own struggles with addiction, there are no words to describe how rewarding it is for her to be able to help others come out the other side.

Michael Taylor has over ten years of expert experience in controller and finance management and five years experience in banking. Michael oversees all Royal Life Centers finance and accounting practices, including but not limited to, directing financial strategy, accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, and tax and audit functions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida International University and is an integral member of the Royal Life team.

With a BS in Criminal Justice from St. John’s University in Queens, NY, she has grown with RLC— from our early days of sober living to the multi-level, national agency we are today— and become an invaluable part of our operation, continually putting in the same level of drive into every project. Maria’s enthusiasm comes from a dedication to watching our guests flourish in sobriety. This quality of service and care is what makes Royal Life Centers the brand it is.

Kelsey began working at Royal Life Centers nearly eight years ago as one of our very first employees and has witnessed the company’s exponential growth and unwavering client-centered focus.

After turning her life around and getting sober on April 6, 2009, Heidi has been sharing her recovery experience, along with her extensive yoga training, with others dealing with substance abuse disorder in treatment centers for years. She merged the tradition of yoga philosophy and movement to help newly recovering individuals understand how the body plays a big part in learning to live a better life. Yoga and recovery go hand-in-hand to Heidi, and she is excited to help others and break the stigma of what society thinks yoga and recovery mean.

Dominic Henry was born and raised in New York City, eventually moving to Florida to get those suffering from substance use problems the help and guidance that they need. With almost five years at Royal Life Centers, he is an expert at determining the level of care that a patient requires. A happy and proud husband who spends most of his free time enjoying life with his two children, Dominic is an essential part of the RLC admissions team. His experience and candor lend well to helping guests take their first steps in beginning their recovery journey.

Denise Minshew is one of our most dedicated admissions coordinators. She brings many years experience in the substance abuse industry to Royal Life Centers, and her long term recovery lends itself perfectly to helping guests see hope in their struggle. Denise’s compassion and empathy are just some of her assets, and her commitment to the Royal Life Centers family shines through in all of her work. In her spare time, Denise enjoys spending quality time with her sons as well as attending sporting events and concerts.

Erik joined the Royal Life Centers staff in December 2016. He handles custodial duties for most of our Washington locations. Born in Seattle, Erik lived in Canada for a couple of years and returned to school in the the Olympia/Thurston area, where he met his wife of 18 years.
